Official Portal: https://se.census.gov.in/
Self-enumeration period (2026) Madhya Pradesh : April 16 – April 30
1. What is Self-Enumeration?
Self-Enumeration is a facility that allows you to fill in your family and house details online yourself. You don’t have to wait for an enumerator to come to your home and inquire.
Official Portal: https://se.census.gov.in/
Duration: This facility is available 15 days before the door-to-door enumeration begins in your area.
Time: It takes approximately 15-20 minutes to complete.
2. How to Self-Enumerate? (Step-by-Step Process)
Registration: Visit the portal and enter your mobile number and captcha. An OTP will be sent to your number.
Fill in the details: After logging in, select your state, district, and address.
House and Family Information: You will be asked 33 questions about the condition of your house, available amenities (electricity, water, toilet), and assets owned by your family (bicycle, TV, internet, etc.).
Submission and SE ID: After submitting the form, you will receive a Self-Enumeration ID (SE ID). Keep it safe.
Verification: When the Census worker (Enumerator) visits your home, you simply need to show them this SE ID. They will sync your data, eliminating the need for you to re-enter all the information.
